Enzyme exfoliants are a special category of exfoliants, they do not act by friction as the mechanical ones (scrub, Washout Gum, etc.) which we discussed in the previous article, but act with an enzymatic action due to the presence of enzymes such as precisely PAPAIN, enzyme proteolytic with selective action, that is capable of binding to the corneal cells in the process of flaking or already damaged, respecting the natural physiology of the skin.
What is enzyme scrub?

What contain enzyme exfoliants?
Inside the enzyme exfoliants, enzymes are selective action PAPAIN the proteolytic type, present in the juice of papaya (Carica papaya), a native tree of Brazil and Mexico. Sources and uses of papain

While in everyday life we can choose from a wide range of cosmetic products, especially mechanical exfoliants such as the gel scrub with cucumber and sweet almond, or type the body smoothing cream to apricot kernels, commercially available and easy to use.
