A concentrator of oxygen for oxygen therapy is a machine used to provide oxygen to a patient at concentrations significantly higher than those available in the environment air. It is used as a means safer, less expensive, and cheaper alternative than the compressed oxygen tanks (cylinders). In aesthetic centers and aesthetic medicine we would need a special permit for the procurement, installation and maintenance of oxygen cylinders. This is highly overcome by the use of the oxygen concentrator that has no pressure tanks but, as we shall see, it uses the oxygen already present in the environment. For this reason, in recent years it was possible to spread the oxygen therapy protocols to all beauticians and their customers, who were thus able to benefit from treatment of high nutrient value and being absolutely no contraindications. Oxygen concentrators are also used as an economic and continuous source of oxygen in industrial processes.

How does an oxygen concentrator for oxygen therapy

The simplest oxygen concentrator is capable of a continuous delivery of oxygen and has an internal mechanism based on two cylinders, filled with a zeolite material, which selectively absorbs the nitrogen in the air. In each cycle, the air flows through a cylinder at a pressure of about 20 lbf / in ² (138 kPa, or 1.36 atmospheres), in this nitrogen molecules are captured by the zeolite, while the other cylinder, are riespulsi outside environment at atmospheric pressure, which allows the release of nitrogen in air diffusion and therefore a balance in the environment. stamdard units have cycles of about 20 seconds, and allow a constant supply of oxygen at a flow rate up to about five liters per minute (LPM) at concentrations from 50 to 95%. This process is called pressure swing absorption (PSA).

What kind of maintenance does an oxygen concentrator?

As mentioned previously, the oxygen concentrator is capable of continuously delivering oxygen purity up to 95% since its ignition behavior. It does not require the installation of external tanks it refills, inquanto its mechanical ability to extract oxygen from the ambient air makes it a totally self-contained device. Furthermore, this ability to split the main elements of the air and releasing them to mix in a natural way at the end of cycle, allows to maintain unchanged the ambient air quality. So, apart from the normal cleaning and routine maintenance of its external components such as the spray gun, the tube and the outer filter, the oxygen concentrator does not need any maintenance.

Biological effects of the infusion of hyperbaric oxygen therapy

The physical von Ardenne (1990) explained as the aging was related to decreased blood supply to the tissues, in turn a result of a deficit of the movement at the level of the traits of the capillaries terminals. Furthermore, the number of active cutaneous capillaries decreases with the passage of years. aerografoThe upper layers of the human skin are almost exclusively supplied with oxygen from the external environment. Researchers at the University Clinic in Berlin have finally shown that the use of topically active oxygen promotes the microcirculation and skin metabolism. Airbrush The aging, stress, pollution, diseases, are all factors that affect the microcapillary by starting a process of degradation of collagen and elastin: oxygenate the skin therefore means "rivascolarizzarla" making it more 'healthy, toned, radiant and soft. However, if the first benefit of topical treatment with oxygen is a direct revitalization of the skin layers, there exists a second, even more important: the hyperbaric oxygen is also a metabolic enhancer and veicolatore of some molecules through the dermal-epidermal layers.
