The principle of use of ultrasound in the field of physiotherapy is based on the interaction that occurs between the ultrasound and the different tissues of their crossing generating different types of effects: thermal, mechanical, cavitation, biological and phonophoresis. The tightness of the head treatment allows the operator to use, in the treatment phase, the technique of "dip application" in addition to the common technique of "direct contact". Ultrasounds are mechanical sound waves. A difference of acoustic phenomena properly said, the frequencies that characterize ultrasound are superior to those averagely audible to a human ear.
