The medical device of Ultrasound ULT1S is constructed to generate mechanical vibrations with frequency 1 MHz (ultrasound) by means of a piezoelectric ceramic element assembled within a treatment head with 4.5 cm in diameter. The principle of use of ultrasound in the field physiotherapy is based on the interaction that occurs between the ultrasound and the different tissues of their crossing generating different types of effects: thermal, mechanical, cavitation, biological and phonophoresis. The water resistance of the treatment head allows the operator to use, undergoing treatment, the technique of "dip application" in addition to the common technique of "direct contact". All selectable parameters can be set so using tactile membrane buttons, displaying the time of treatment and the power supply is via two numerical displays. The mode of emission of the ultrasonic wave is settable continuous or pulsed with two different modulations, 50 Hz or 100 Hz while the power is adjustable up to a maximum of 3 watts / cm2. The structure of the device is formed by ABS foam that ensures even protracted, a high level of quality and elegance. Ultrasounds are mechanical sound waves. A difference of acoustic phenomena properly said, the frequencies that characterize ultrasound are superior to those averagely audible to a human ear. The frequency conventionally used to discriminate the sonic waves by ultrasonic waves is set at 20 kHz.
